You search for it, of course! You can start by clicking on a search type from the Search By tabs on the menu bar. We have five types...but don't be intimidated. They each have their use. First up is Genre. Tracks under this tab are organized by musical type. This is a good place to start if you know you want, say, an alternative rock track. Or disco.

Next is End Use, which organizes tracks by how you would use them...from short clips called bumpers, to music beds (which you might use as background music in a scene of a movie, or to accompany a part of a video game) to theme songs. Under each of these main types, there are 5 intensities..from downtempo to extreme.

Search by Collection organizes all the tracks into genre-based volumes, and also multi-volume collections...the biggest of which is the Twisted|Collection which basically encompasses the entire Twistedtracks.com library.

Keyword allows you to drive the search process, by narrowing your search by adding criteria until you've found the perfect track. You start by selecting the type of criteria (like the graphic to the left), then the keyword itself from the right drop down menu. Select is/is not from the middle menu to indlude or exclude the term (for example, use Genre Is Not Disco if you really don't like disco).

Let's say we really need an ambient song with acoustic guitar, a dark mood, tempo somewhere around 120 bpm and the length to be 60 seconds. Begin adding your criteria until the search page looks like this:

We've been pretty specific in our parameters, but lucky for us there's a track that matches. You can click on the Preview button to listen to the track, or on the name of the track to get more detailed information. If you like it, click the cart icon to purchase!

If you'd like more results to choose from, start with fewer criteria. Many times you may simply want a track that's 'Dark.' Click the 'Remove All Criteria' button to start over, then select Keyword from the left drop-down menu, then Dark in the keywords field.

There's thousands of tracks whose descriptions contain the keyword 'Dark.' Other information displayed here may help you to find the perfect song for your needs. You can continue to narrow your search just like before, with each added criteria give a listen to what comes up. You may find some hidden gems!
